MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather is expected to prevail over the majority of the country on Sunday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“Dito sa bahagi ng Luzon kasama ang Metro Manila ay patuloy p rin tayong makakaranas ng generally maaliwalas na panahon,” said Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda.
(Here in Luzon including Metro Manila, we will continue to experience generally fair weather.)
“Medyo malamig na panahon pa rin ang mararanasan at meron pa ring tayong posibilidad na mahihinang pag-ulan at ambon dulot ng amihan.
(Expect a slightly cool weather with the possibility of light rains and mist caused by the northeast monsoon.)
Meanwhile, Visayas and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of rain due to isolated thunderstorms.
Castañeda said no low pressure areas (LPAs) or storms have been detected by Pagasa, but warned that a cloud cluster located east of Mindanao is being closely monitored for possibility of developing in an LPA
No gale warning is currently raised but moderate to rough seas should still be expected over the eastern coast of the country, as well as the northern and western coast of Luzon.
Pagasa said the temperature range in key cities/areas across the country for Sunday will be:
- Metro Manila: 19 to 31 degrees Celsius
- Baguio City: 13 to 22 degrees Celsius
- Laoag City: 20 to 31 degrees Celsius
- Tuguegarao: 18 to 30 degrees Celsius
- Legazpi City: 22 to 31 degrees Celsius
- Puerto Princesa City: 23 to 31 degrees Celsius’
- Tagaytay: 18 to 29 degrees Celsius
- Kalayaan Islands: 24 to 31 degrees Celsius
- Iloilo City: 24 to 30 degrees Celsius
- Cebu: 24 to 30 degrees Celsius
- Tacloban City: 23 to 31 degrees Celsius
- Cagayan De Oro City: 24 to 29 degrees Celsius
- Zamboanga City: 24 to 33 degrees Celsius
- Davao City: 23 to 33 degrees Celsius
