Cops rescue 3-year-old boy hostaged by father in Cavite

LUCENA CITY – Police rescued a three-year-old boy after he was reportedly held hostage by his father in Silang,  Cavite  on Thursday.

The Cavite police said Marianito Deayon, 53, and his wife, Lorie, had a heated argument at11:20 a.m. inside their rented house in Barangay Bulihan.

Deavon reportedly harmed his wife and son. The woman managed to escape and reported the incident to village officials.

Deayon reportedly took hostage of the boy when the police Special Weapons and Tactics arrived at the scene.

The suspect surrendered to the authorities after a negotiation. The police recovered a double-bladed knife from his possession.

Deayon was detained and is facing a formal complaint.
