No. 4 most wanted person in Bicol fall in Sorsogon after 12 years in hiding

SORSOGON CITY — After 12 years in hiding, the fourth most wanted person in Bicol, was arrested on March 3 in Magallanes town in Sorsogon province to face the murder charge against him, a belated police report said Tuesday, March 7.

Captain Edwin De La Peña, chief of the Magallanes police, said cops arrested Octavio Genorga Hoquis, 48, a former farmer, in Barangay Caditaan. The police said Hoquis returned to his village after years of hiding in Manila.

He was wanted for shooting and killing a man who stole his coconuts back in 2010. The report did not identify Hoquis’ victim.

The arrest warrant was issued Feb. 21 by Presiding judge Erwin Fortes Honra of Regional Trial Court Branch 65 in Bulan, Sorsogon.
