Expect rain in some parts of PH due to amihan, shear line — Pagasa

Cloudy skies and rain will continue over several parts of the country on Tuesday due to the effects of the shear line, and the northeast monsoon, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies and rain will continue over several parts of the country on Tuesday due to the effects of the shear line and the northeast monsoon, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

“Dahil sa patuloy na pagiral ng hanging amihan, makakaranas tayo ng mga kaulapan at pagulan sa silangang bahagi ng Southern Luzon o sa Quezon at Bicol Region,” said Pagasa weather specialist Daniel Villamil.

(Due to the continued presence of the northeastern monsoon, we will experience clouds and rain in the eastern part of Southern Luzon or in Quezon and Bicol Region.)

“Sa nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon generally fair weather ang inaasahan na may light rains o pag ambon lamang,” he added.

(In the rest of Luzon, generally fair weather is expected with light rains.)

The shear line is then expected to bring rain and cloudy skies over Eastern Visayas and Caraga region in Mindanao.

The rest of Mindanao and Visayas, on the other hand, will have generally fair weather conditions.

Meanwhile, no low pressure areas (LPAs) or storms are currently being monitored by Pagasa.

However, gale warning is currently raised over several of the country’s seaboards, particularly, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon including Polillo, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Eastern coast of Palawan including Cuyo and Cagayancillo, Camarines Norte, Northern coast of Camarines Sur, Northern & eastern coasts of Catanduanes, Eastern coast of Albay, Eastern coast of Sorsogon, Northern & eastern coasts of Northern Samar, and Caluya, Antique.
