MANILA, Philippines – The northeast monsoon or “amihan”will bring cloudy skies and rain to Luzon and parts of the Visayas on Saturday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“Patuloy na umiiral ang northeast monsoon o amihan sa Luzon kung saan may dala itong maulap na kalangitan at pag ulan dito sa silangang bahagi,” said Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castaneda.
(The northeast monsoon will affect Luzon. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies and rain are expected in the eastern part.)

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies and rain showers are expected in Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas.
The rest of the Visayas and the entire Mindanao can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms, Pagasa said in its early morning weather update.
Castaneda added that no weather disturbance is being monitored in and around the Philippine area of responsibility.
Coastal waters in Luzon, Visayas and the western part of Mindanao will be moderate to rough sea conditions and slight to moderate in the rest of Mindanao, Pagasa added.
