2 dead in motorcycle-van collision in Albay town
CAMALIG, Albay–A couple died when their motorcycle collided with a van along the Maharlika Highway in Guinobatan town, Albay province late Thursday (March 2), police said.
Investigators identified the victims as Keifer Danzen Buenos Valencia and his wife, Toni Grace Mercado Valencia.
Police said the two were traveling in Barangay Banao when they rammed into an oncoming van, driven by Marlon Dela Cruz Velasco, at 10:50 p.m.
Due to the impact, the motorcycle crashed on a concrete pavement, and the victims were thrown some 15 feet away.
Emergency responders rushed the victims to a hospital in nearby LIgao City, but they were declared dead upon arrival by the attending physician. NIKKA NAPOD, CONTRIBUTOR INQ
