Caloocan City: Free medical services for women on Women’s Month

The Caloocan City government has opened a breastfeeding station for nursing constituents and employees, said Mayor Along Malapitan in a statement on Tuesday.

MANILA, Philippines — Caloocan City will hold free health seminars, breast and pelvic ultrasounds, mammograms, and other activities for women as the nation celebrates Women’s Month.

Mayor Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan said the City Health Department, Caloocan City Medical Center, and Caloocan City North Medical Center will offer free medical services.

On March 6, 13, 20, and 27, female residents may visit Caloocan City Medical Center (CCMC) for a free breast ultrasound (10 days after the first day of their menstruation).

CCMC will also conduct free pelvic ultrasound for pregnant women (20 week up) and free pap smears for non-pregnant women on March 7, 14, 21, and 28.

Meanwhile, the Caloocan City North Medical Center will conduct free mammograms throughout the month for women with breast cancer-related signs and symptoms.
