MANILA, Philippines – The North-Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Connector, which is set to open on March 27, will spur economic development and ease traffic congestion in Metro Manila, Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista said on Wednesday in a statement by the Department of Transportation (DOTr)

“This is important to commuters. It will result in the easing of traffic and because of that, they will have more time for their families,” Bautista said, partly in Filipino, during his final inspection of the NLEX Connector España segment at the NLEX Caloocan Interchange.

It is a joint project of the DOTr, the Department of Public Works and Highways, the Toll Regulatory Board, NLEX Corp., and Metro Pacific Tollways Corp.
