LEGAZPI CITY – Two suspected drug personalities were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Camarines Sur province on Monday (Feb. 27).

Police Colonel Julius Caesar Domingo, chief of Camarines Sur police, said in a report that Alejo Vargas, 39, was arrested in Barangay (village) Sta. Elena Baras in Nabua town at around 6:30 p.m.

Authorities recovered two sachets of shabu (crystal meth) from the suspect tagged as a newly identified drug personality.

In Baao town, Marvin Carullo, 30, was also arrested in a separate operation in Barangay Sagrada at around 4:35 p.m.

Police Major Divino John Pelea, chief of Baao police, said in a report that a total of two grams of shabu worth P13,600 was confiscated from the suspect.

The suspects were facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
