Daily Covid-19 cases fall to 119

Detected COVID-19 cases daily fell to an average 119 cases, which is seven percent lower than the previous average of 128 new cases confirmed daily.

The Department of Health (DOH) said there was no serious or critical case among the 832 COVID-19 cases reported last week.

There were 370 severely or critically ill patients out of the 3,482 admitted COVID-19 patients. They comprise about 37 percent of 9,292 individuals who are still infected with the virus, based on official data.

The official death toll rose to 66,108 as the DOH confirmed 78 more deaths due to COVID-19.

While already at low risk, health-care utilization rate improved further to 13.5 percent of COVID-19 intensive care unit (ICU) beds and 17.9 percent of non-ICU beds in use.

There are now 73,885,830 fully vaccinated individuals in the country, representing 94.6 percent of the government’s target to vaccinate at least 78.1 million individuals.

However, only 21.53 million of them have received at least one booster dose. INQ
