Drug ring leader collared in Marikina City

A suspected drug ring leader, along with two high-value targets, were arrested during a buy-bust operation along Kabayani Road in Barangay Tumana, Marikina City, on Feb. 22. The Eastern Police District (EPD) identified the suspects as Cherry Gonzales, alias Che-che, Ronnel Latabe and Alvin Caringal, all residents of Marikina City. Latabe and Caringal were tagged as high-value targets while Gonzales was the alleged drug leader of the “Che-Che” group. Confiscated from the suspects were 19 plastic sachets containing more or less 15 grams of suspected “shabu” with an estimated value of P102,000, added the EPD.
