2 suspects in fatal shooting of Indian man fall in QC

MANILA, Philippines — Two suspects behind the killing of an Indian man were arrested in separate operations in Quezon City on Thursday, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) announced.

Randy Almares Manalo and Mark Darriel Janito Lagarde were arrested for the killing of Beant Singh, 46, who was fatally shot also in Quezon City.

Lagarde was first arrested in his residence in Barangay Pasong Putik at around 2:45 pm. He admitted to the crime and snitched Manalo, who was the alleged mastermind of the crime.

“During the arrest, he (Lagarde) openly admitted his participation in the killing and further confided his mastermind,” the NCRPO said in its report.

 The police proceeded to the residence of Manalo in Barangay Batasan, leading to his arrest at around 3:30 pm.

Confiscated from Lagarde was a pistol without serial number and a hand grenade from Manalo.
