CIDG arrests 4 most wanted persons in Western Visayas
MANILA, Philippines – Four most wanted persons (MWPs) in Western Visayas have been arrested, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) announced on Thursday.
The suspects were apprehended during a string of manhunt operations conducted by the CIDG – Western Visayas, joined by the local authorities, on Feb. 21.
The suspects were identified as Jobito “Kubeng” Cantire, Jonel Talondata, and brothers Herberto and Marlon Anzures.
Cantire was listed as a municipal MWP, while Talondata and the Anzures brothers were regional MWPs.
Cantire faces the crime of frustrated murder, and Talondata was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest (WOA) for two counts of rape under Article 266A.
Article continues after this advertisementMeanwhile, the Anzures brothers were collared on the strength of a WOA for murder.
Article continues after this advertisementAll suspects are currently being held at their respective CIDG arresting units before their transfer to the court of origin.
