JICA lauds the DOTr for completing the overhaul of the 72 light rail vehicles for the MRT-3 project.

MANILA, Philippines — The Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica) on Thursday lauded the Department of Transportation (DOTr) for completing the overhaul of the 72 light rail vehicles (LRVs) for the Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT-3) project.

Jica issued the remark after a three-man team inspected the MRT-3 depot facilities and Control Center on Wednesday, February 22.

“We would like to express our deep appreciation for DOTr’s leadership in completing the overhaul of the 72 light rail vehicles, which is one of the major components of the ongoing Metro Rail Transit-3 Rehabilitation and Maintenance Project,” it said in a letter.
