MANILA, Philippines — The search for the missing Cessna that departed from the Cauayan Domestic Airport in Isabela province resumed on Thursday, following delays due to poor weather conditions, according to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Isabela.

“After three days of suspension of search activities due to bad weather, operations resume today,” Isabela PDRRMO Commander Atty. Constante Foronda Jr. said in a statement.

To speed up the operations, Foronda also said four more tracker dogs and eight handlers would fan out to Maconacon town.

A total of 13 tracking dogs, along with handlers, will join the operations once the latest batch arrives, the agency said.

The six-seater Cessna 206 plane went missing an hour after leaving the Cauayan Domestic Airport on January 24.

It was bound for the coastal town of Maconacon when it went missing.
