ILIGAN CITY, Lanao del Norte, Philippines — Four Lanao del Norte police officers were hurt when the vehicle they were riding fell off a hilly road into a grassy field on Wednesday morning.
The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. in Purok 5, Barangay Quezon in Gitagum town, Misamis Oriental.
According to a report from the Gitagum Municipal Police Station, the police officers of Nunungan town in Lanao del Norte were rushing to Cagayan de Oro aboard a pickup for a neurological test at Camp Alagar.
Gitagum police personnel, led by Chief Master Sgt. Junar Jarmin, rushed their injured colleagues to a hospital in Initao town.
The injured police officers were identified as Senior Master Sgt. Abdul Maula Sanayon, 42; Staff Sgt. Omar Mamle, 34; Staff Sgt, Jeffrey Credo, 40; and Cpl. Wodhurd Matugas.
