P510,000 meth seized from 2 suspects in Naga City

LEGAZPI CITY, Albay, Philippines – Anti-illegal drugs operatives arrested two drug suspects and recovered P510,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation in Naga City in Camarines Sur on Wednesday night, Feb. 22.

Senior Master Sgt. Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said in a report that Bong Blanquera, 45, and Jumel Frederick Camalla, 34, sold a sachet of shabu worth P75,000 to an undercover agent in Barangay Carolina at around 6:05 p.m.

During the body search, the authorities recovered two more sachets of shabu.

Bongon said a total of 75 grams of shabu was confiscated from the suspects who were included in the illegal drugs watch list.

The suspects will face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
