MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has appointed a new acting presidential adviser on peace reconciliation and unity (OPAPRU).
Malacañang press briefer Daphne Oseña-Paez on Tuesday announced that Isidro Purisima had been appointed as the acting presidential adviser on peace.
Purisima replaces Carlito Galvez Jr., who Marcos appointed as the new secretary of the Department of National Defense.
Prior to his new appointment, Purisima was the presidential assistant for local conflict transformation and peace sustainability under OPAPRU.
Oseña-Paez also announced the following appointees:
– Wilben Mayor as Presidential Assistant 1 under OPAPRU
– Valerie Joy Brion as Executive Director V in the Commission on Filipinos Overseas
– Gabriel Lagamayo as Acting Administrator and member of the Dairy Industry Board – National Dairy Authority
