MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) launched a homegrown digitalization program called Finance and Management Service – For Your Information (FMS-FYI) website, the agency said on Thursday.

The website, launched on February 14, is open to the public and contains DSWD’s finance and management-related resources such as announcements, issuances, internal auditing, meeting recordings, speeches, downloadable forms, and press releases.

“You want to better yourselves, you want to better the improvement in the delivery of services, that is why you made this homegrown FMS system and I’m very, very impressed because the very spirit, is the spirit of innovation, the spirit of wanting to be better than what we are,” DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian said in his keynote speech.

The FMS-FYI was developed by the FMS with the help of the DSWD Information and Communications Technology Management Service.

The department is optimistic that the FMS-FYI resource site would help internal staff and other stakeholders in DSWD finance and management concerns.

The FMS-FYI site can be found at bit.ly/FMSFYI.

The digitalization is in response to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s directive to digitalize government processes, said the DSWD. — MJ Soriano, trainee
