‘Kilig’ surprise to Metro female commuters: Flowers for you, on Valentine’s Day from LTFRB

MANILA, Philippines – Valentine’s Day brought plenty of love and “kilig vibes” to several surprised female commuters in Metro Manila, thanks to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

On this special day, the LTFRB handed out fresh flowers to young and old female commuters aboard modern and traditional jeepneys, taxis, UV Express units, and public utility buses (PUBs) in Balintawak and Quezon Avenue in Quezon City.

Among the recipients were 24 female senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWD). It was truly a memorable Valentine’s Day for those lucky enough to receive these special tokens of love.

The LTFRB said that its enforcers set up a checkpoint in a special operation to conduct an inspection and, simultaneously surprise commuters with fresh flowers.

“Nais po ng LTFRB na bigyan ng kahit na kaunting good vibes man lang ang ating mga pasahero ngayong araw ng mga puso dahil alam naman po natin ang kanilang dinadanas na stress sa araw araw na biyahe,” said LTFRB Chairman Teofilo Guadiz III.

(The LTFRB wants to spread some good vibes to commuters today to alleviate the stress they go through every day.)
