MANILA, Philippines — Two high-value Chinese suspects and their accomplice yielded more than P6 million worth of illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
The Southern Police District (SDP) on Tuesday reported the arrest of three suspects, including two male Chinese Nationals Kun Yang, 26, and Yang Tao, 29, and a female cohort Faith Jovenes Suñiga alias Nina or Trixie, 18.
Police seized drug evidence with an estimated ₱6,814,250 street value, including 9.5 grams of “kush” suspected marijuana, 62 pieces of small red round tablets, and 38 small pink round tablets of suspected Chinese Magoo/Magu.
According to the authorities, the suspects were apprehended Monday night after selling approximately 1 kilogram of shabu (crystal meth) with P1.2 million boodle money inside the parking lot of The Fort Strip, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
Police said the suspects were identified as Yang Drug Group members operating in Muntinlupa, Makati, Pasig, Pasay, and Taguig.
SPD said the confiscated evidence will be forwarded to their forensic unit while the arrested suspects were temporarily detained at the Office of Regional Drug Enforcement Unit Custodial Facility for booking and documentation. — Niña Cuasay, trainee
