MANILA, Philippines — Quezon City will launch this month its Market One-Stop Shop (MOSS) for stall owners in the eight public markets that it owns.
Initially, MOSS will simply the registration and permit application of stall owners by allowing online transactions.
“Aspiring stall holders and existing market vendors can easily view what market stalls are still available, the documentary requirements needed, and thereafter pay the corresponding fees, thus avoiding the long lines and inconvenient paperwork required in the old manual process,” the city said in a statement issued on Sunday.
MOSS will also be integrated with the city’s Business One Stop Shop to streamline the overall business permit process.
The system, which can soon be accessed through the QC E-Services Portal, could easily show real-time all available stalls in public and private markets and even temporary vending sites.
IDs will also be issued to registered market vendors and hawkers.
The local government targets to register a total of 12,000 stall holders in the eight city-owned public markets, 32 private markets, and 124 approved temporary vending sites for hawkers and 46 talipapas (small community markets).
