Motorcycle rider shot dead in Parañaque City

MANILA, Philippines – An unidentified man on his motorcycle was fatally shot in the head by four assailants in Paranaque City early Monday morning, said the police.

The Southern Police District, in its initial report, said the victim was on his motorcycle when he was shot by four unidentified gunmen along E. Rodriguez Avenue in Barangay Moonwalk at around 12:08 a.m.

Police report said three of the gunmen were on board a taxicab while the other one was on a motorcycle.

“Upon arrival [in] the area, responding officers saw the victim lying down on the road [beside] his collapsed motorcycle [with a]  gunshot wound on his head,” police said.

The culprits, according to the SPD, fled toward Doña Soledad Ave. in the direction of the Bicutan exit after the shooting incident.

Parañaque City police are conducting a continuous dragnet operation to arrest the four assailants, it added. – Kimberly D. Albaño, INQUIRER.net intern
