DA says P91.867-million farm-to-market road launched in Mt Province
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Agriculture (DA) reported Friday the launch of the P91.867-million farm-to-market road (FMR) in Tadian, Mountain Province.
It is part of Mountain Province’s second improved segment of the Besao-Nacawang and Tadian Mabalite FMR, according to the DA.
“Farmers and residents from all the barangays of Besao, seven barangays of Tadian, and one barangay of Quirino, Ilocos Sur are now directly benefiting from the 4.154-kilometer road stretch,” the DA- Philippine Rural Development Project Cordillera said Thursday.
The project’s inauguration on Wednesday, February 8, was led by the Mountain Province Gov. Bonifacio Lacwasan Jr. in Barangay Batayan.
Lacwasan lauded all the stakeholders for their contributions to the project’s success and congratulated those who would gain access to better roads.
