LUCENA CITY — “High-value” drug traffickers were busted on Tuesday, Feb. 7, in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, while notorious marijuana street peddlers were arrested in San Mateo, Rizal.
Cavite police anti-illegal drugs operatives collared Daves Abare, Allan Hubella, Faustino Cuarteros, Emmanuel Zurvito, and Wilfredo Escober in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Paliparan 3 in Dasmariñas City shortly before midnight on Tuesday, the Police Region 4A said in a report Wednesday, Feb. 8.
Seized were six plastic sachets of shabu with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P69,000.
The suspects are high-value individuals in the local drug scene. The police tagged Abare as the leader of the group named after him.
Meanwhile, members of the San Mateo police drug enforcement unit nabbed Luis Mercado Jr., Jonathan Mauro, James Mauro, Reymar Isidro, Jomar Batungbakal, Erwin Bernabe, and Jhesnhad Guisado in three sting operations in different parts of the locality from 5:30 p.m. up to midnight.
The police confiscated 60.5 grams of dried marijuana leaves with a street value of P7,260.
The suspects were tagged as street-level individuals on the drug watch list in the locality.
All arrested suspects were detained and will be charged with violating Republic Act 9165 for possessing and selling dangerous drugs.
