Traffic on SLEx now normal, says official
MANILA, Philippines–The traffic situation on the entire stretch of the South Luzon Expressway (SLEx) connecting Metro Manila to the provinces in the Calabarzon region became “normal” by Thursday afternoon, a South Luzon Expressway official said.
Christy Lleno said vehicles on the SLEx was already moving in “normal speed” after a kilometers-long traffic gridlock before the Calamba Toll Plaza was reported earlier on Thursday due to the increasing number of vehicles taking the expressway as the Holy Week rush to provinces continued.
In its twitter page, the Toll Regulatory Board said that from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., 24,591 vehicles had gone through the SLEx. Jamie Marie Elona
