Over P2.4M worth of illegal drugs seized in Central Luzon from Jan 29-Feb 4

More than P2.4 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated by police officers during various anti-narcotics operations in Central Luzon.

OLONGAPO CITY — More than P2.4 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated by police officers during various anti-narcotics operations in Central Luzon in the past week, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said.

In a report on Monday, February 6, the PRO3 said 171 drug traders in the region were also arrested between January 29 and February 4.

The drug haul worth P2,450,528 was the result of a total of 106 police operations, mostly buy-bust, the PRO3 said.

In separate manhunt operations of police in the region during the same period, 169 fugitives were also arrested.

At least 124 others were apprehended for illegal gambling and 16 more for illegal possession of firearms.

The PRO3 said 14 robbers were also captured in various areas of the region last week. INQ
