MMDA: ‘Stop and go’ scheme on Edsa – Shaw north-bound from Feb. 7-10

MANILA, Philippines — A “stop-and-go” traffic scheme will be implemented along northbound Edsa Shaw Boulevard from Feb. 7 to 10 by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the agency announced on Monday.

In an advisory, the MMDA said the traffic scheme would be implemented for the 52nd Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Council Conference which will be held at Shangri-La Hotel Edsa, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City.

“A total of 685 personnel will be deployed to ensure the smooth flow of traffic,” the MMDA said.

“Within Feb 7-10 wala pong specific time ang stop-and-go scheme, depende po ito sa pagdating ng mga delegates (there is no specific time for the stop-and-go scheme, it depends on the arrival of the delegates),” the agency said.

The SEAMEO is a regional inter-governmental organization composed of 11 Southeast Asian education ministers which promote regional cooperation in education, science and culture in the region.
