No tropical cyclone expected in next 2 days; PH to have fair Monday weather

MANILA, Philippines —  The country is not expecting any tropical cyclones up to the next two days, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Monday.

“Wala tayong inaasahang bagyo in the next 24 to 48 hours,” Pagasa weather specialist Veronica Torres said in a public weather forecast.

(We don’t expect any tropical cyclones in the next 24 to 48 hours.)

Torres also said that the entire country will experience fair weather on Monday with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms in certain areas.

“Dito sa may Luzon, inaasahan natin yung magandang panahon, partly cloudy to cloudy skies; dito sa Bicol region at Mimaropa may mag tiyansa tayo ng thunderstorms,” she said.

(In Luzon, we expect fair weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies; here in the Bicol region and Mimaropa there are chances of thunderstorms.)

“Para dito naman sa Visayas at Mindanao, partly cloudy to cloudy skies din ‘yung inaasahan natin, and also ingat na nga lang tayo sa tiyansa ng thunderstorms,” she added.

(For Visayas and Mindanao, we also expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies but we should beware of the chance of having a thunderstorm.)

Meanwhile, Pagasa did not raise a gale warning in any seaboards nationwide.
