CEBU Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia will again join thousands of Cebuanos on Maundy Thursday praying in different churches for the traditional Visita Iglesia but with a twist; she will be distributing rosary beads.
Garcia is set to visit 21 churches in Cebu Province, starting with the St. Catherine Parish Church in Carcar City and ending in the Nuestra Senora del Pilar Parish Church in Sibonga town.
(The governor’s second name is Pilar.)
This has been an annual practice for Garcia even before she was elected governor in 2004.
Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale said she will be with her children in their farm in Danao City.
Maundy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles.
