3 Mindanao airports see improvement
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (Caap) has completed key improvements in three airports in Mindanao. The Caap said on Friday that the expansion of the passenger terminal building in Butuan Airport was completed in December with the ground floor expanded by an additional 324 square meters. About 108 square meters were also added to its mezzanine floor. “This major upgrade is seen to provide travelers with convenience and comfort on the way to one of the country’s highly urbanized cities,” the Caap said. New escalators were also installed in the domestic arrival and check-in lobby areas at Davao International Airport. Clearing operations for the accumulated garbage in a creek in Zamboanga International Airport were also conducted. —ANGEL YABUT
