PDEA seizes P6.9-M ‘shabu’ in Cavite

Anti-illegal drug operatives nabbed an alleged big-time trafficker who reportedly yielded P6.9 million worth of "shabu" (crystal meth) during a buy-bust operation in Bacoor City, Cavite province on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

LUCENA CITY — Anti-illegal drug operatives nabbed an alleged big-time trafficker who reportedly yielded P6.9 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) during a buy-bust operation in Bacoor City, Cavite province on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

In a belated report on Friday afternoon, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Region 4A identified the arrested suspect as Daryl Julhasan, 28, who was classified as a “high-value” target in the government campaign against illegal drugs.

The report said Julhasan, an event coordinator by profession from Taguig City, was caught by PDEA agents at 7:15 p.m. at the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant in Barangay Talaba 4.

The suspect yielded one kilo of meth when arrested.

Police were conducting further investigations to determine the suspect’s source of the illegal drugs peddled.

The suspect was detained and is facing charges of violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
