MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country can expect fair weather conditions from Friday until the weekend as the state weather bureau sees no low-pressure area (LPA) or tropical cyclone entering the Philippine area of responsibility.

Weather updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Friday afternoon showed that the only weather condition affecting the country is the northeast monsoon or amihan, which would bring colder than usual temperatures over Luzon.

However, cloudy skies and occasional rains are still expected due to the amihan and some cloud clusters over Palawan and Western Visayas.

For Luzon, temperatures for Saturday at Tuguegarao are expected to range from 22 to 30 degrees Celsius; Laoag with 21 to 32 degrees; Baguio with 15 to 24 degrees; Metro Manila and Puerto Princesa with 24 to 31 degrees; Tagaytay with 20 to 29 degrees; and Legazpi with 24 to 30 degrees.

In Visayas and Mindanao, Pagasa said that localized thunderstorms might occur due to the slightly warm weather conditions. For example, temperatures in Iloilo may play between 25 to 30 degrees Celsius; Cebu with 25 to 31 degrees; Tacloban with 24 to 30 degrees; Zamboanga with 24 to 31 degrees; Cagayan de Oro with 23 to 30 degrees; and Davao with 24 to 33 degrees.

No gale warning has been raised in any part of the country, but sea conditions over the western waters of Luzon, up to its northern waters, and down to the entire eastern coast of the country would be moderate to rough. The rest of the country’s seas would have mild sea conditions.
