LUCENA CITY—Police in Quezon province arrested 158 drug suspects and confiscated about P11.9 million worth of illegal drugs last month.
In a report Thursday (Feb. 2), Col. Ledon Monte, Quezon police chief, said anti-illegal drug operatives recovered 652.51 grams of “shabu” (crystal meth) and 75.52 grams of marijuana in 128 operations conducted last month.
The confiscated illegal drugs have a street value of P11,922,297, the report said.
During the same period, 618 illegal gamblers and 208 fugitives were also arrested, and over P177,000 in bet money was seized.
Monte said their accomplishment “is our humble contributions to the peace-loving Quezonians.”
