MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines is not expecting any tropical cyclones or low-pressure areas until the weekend, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Thursday.
“As of present, we don’t see any tropical cyclone or even low-pressure area around the Philippine Area of Responsibility that could enter until the weekend,” Benison Estareja said partly in Filipino during a public weather forecast.
Estareja, however, reiterated that the country is expecting one tropical cyclone for the month of February.
Pagasa said the entire country is expecting generally fair weather on Thursday.
