2 slain in shooting incidents in Negros Occidental

BACOLOD CITY — Two persons were killed on Monday in separate shooting incidents in Sipalay City and Moises Padilla town in Negros Occidental.

Marvin Amalla was killed at 10:20 p.m. by a certain Ryan Bandiola at a birthday party at Purok Saging, Barangay Gil Montilla, Sipalay City.

Amalla and Bandiola were having a drinking session at a birthday party at the house of the suspect’s brother when an argument ensued.

A police report said Amalla started to become unruly, prompting Bandiola to shoot and hack him.

Amalla was declared dead on arrival at the Sipalay City infirmary.

Bandiola surrendered to the responding policemen and was detained at the Sipalay Police Station.

In another incident, Divine Estoquia Anobong, 40, was shot and killed at 4:30 p.m. on Monday at Sitio Subo, Barangay Macagahay, Moises Padilla town.

Michael Anobong, brother of the victim, said he saw six unidentified persons chasing Divine, who was shot in different parts of his body.

The suspects immediately fled towards the mountainous area of Barangay Macagahay, Moises Padilla, the police said.
