2 college students nabbed in pot session in Catanduanes

Two college students were arrested while smoking marijuana in Virac town in Catanduanes province on Monday, Jan. 30, police said Tuesday, Jan. 31.

VIRAC, CATANDUANES—Two college students were arrested while smoking marijuana in Virac town in Catanduanes province on Monday, Jan. 30, police said Tuesday, Jan. 31.

Sedric Adrian Borja and Joshua Amaro, both 21 years old, were caught in the middle of a pot session by a security personnel at around 2:30 p.m. inside the premises of a university in Virac.

The police recovered from the students a transparent plastic sachet of marijuana, a plastic pipe, lighter, and a glass tube. Investigation was launched to trace the suspects’ source of the illegal substance.

The suspects were placed under police custody and will be charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Jona Mae Camacho, contributor
