Over P18M worth of illegal drugs seized in Central Luzon in a week
OLONGAPO CITY — More than P18 million worth of illegal drugs were seized during the weeklong police operations in Central Luzon, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said on Monday, Jan. 30.
In a report, the PRO3 said they arrested 231 drug suspects during a series of anti-narcotics operations in the region from Jan. 22 to 28.
A total of 176 operations, mostly buy-bust, yielded a drug haul that amounted to P18,281,932.
During the same period, 309 fugitives were also arrested after the police’s intensified operations.
The PRO3 said 14 others were apprehended for illegal possession of firearms, and 106 for illegal gambling.
It said 12 robbery suspects were also collared last week. INQ
