CITY OF CALAPAN — Classes were suspended Tuesday noon, Jan. 31, in some villages in Naujan town in Oriental Mindoro province due to sudden floods, according to the municipal information office.
The local government unit declared the suspension of classes at all levels, both for public and private schools, in the villages of Arangin, Masagana, Balite, Aurora, and Evangelista.
Students and teachers in villages not included in the declaration but who would pass through flooded areas were advised not to go to school for safety.
The local government advised residents to update themselves through its social media page.
