Gunrunning suspect collared in Lucena City
LUCENA CITY — An alleged gunrunner was arrested by Criminal Investigation and Detection Group operatives in a buy-bust operation Monday in this city.
The Region 4A police reported on Tuesday, Jan. 31, that Moises Pagtanan was collared at 10:30 p.m. after he sold an undocumented caliber .45 pistol with six bullets for P20,000 to a poseur-buyer in Barangay Ibabang Dupay.
Authorities are investigating further to identify the source of the firearm.
The report tagged Pagtanan as a member of a group engaged in illegal drug trafficking and gunrunning in Quezon province’s second district.
Pagtanan was detained and face a charge of illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
