Girl with brain tumor needs help for chemo

Ashley Bonto was still in her nursery years when the recurring headaches and nausea she felt while in class were found to be caused by a brain tumor.

Speaking to the Inquirer recently, Ashley’s mother Masidel said her daughter, now aged 7, needed to undergo an eight-cycle chemotherapy at Philippine General Hospital.

Seeking financial assistance, Bonto said they were now just awaiting a call from their PGH oncologist before they could proceed with the fourth cycle of the chemotherapy.

“I’m calling on your kind-hearted readers to help us raise P83,000 for the fourth cycle,” said the plain housewife who has two children with husband Anthony, a worker in a garments factory in Dasmariñas City.
