Fire leaves 100 families homeless in QC
MANILA, Philippines — At least 100 families, composed of 300 individuals, were affected by a fire that struck an informal settler’s residential area on Saturday in Barangay Roxas, Quezon City.
The Quezon City Fire Department reported that the blaze broke out at 2:59 p.m. and reached a second alarm at 3:12 p.m.
It was eventually put out by firefighters at around 3:12 p.m. Arson probers said the suspected origin of fire was an electrical and structural problem.
No one died in the fire that lasted for more than an hour but two people sustained burns and injuries. Damage to property was estimated at P75,000.
