Drug suspect in Olongapo City caught with high-grade marijuana

An alleged illegal drug trader in this city was arrested on Friday (Jan. 27) after high-grade marijuana, or "kush," was recovered from his possession.

OLONGAPO CITY—An alleged illegal drug trader in this city was arrested on Friday (Jan. 27) after high-grade marijuana, or “kush,” was recovered from his possession.

In a report, the Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO) said the suspect, whose name was withheld, was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sta. Rita.

Police seized from the suspect 12 grams of kush that were estimated to be worth P18,500 based on the Dangerous Drug Board’s valuation.

The suspect was on the local list of drug traders operating in the city, the OCPO said.

Police said the man was placed in the custodial facility of the city’s drug enforcement unit while awaiting charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
