Newborn boy found dead on shore of Bohol town
TAGBILARAN CITY — A newborn boy was found dead on the shore of Barangay Poblacion in Dauis town in Bohol on Friday morning.
Arlene Estares, 50, said their errand boy, Joshua Romulo, was busy arranging bottles for their chicken barbecue business when he saw the baby at around 8 a.m.
Romulo then informed the Dauis Emergency Rescue Unit and police about what he found.
Based on the police investigation, the baby’s umbilical cord was still attached to its body which means he might have been left in the area for a day or two.
Corporal Jed Perocho, desk officer at Dauis Police Station, said nobody saw who left the baby in the area.
