MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police Chief Nicanor Bartolome held Wednesday a routine security inspection of the Metro and Light Rail Transits to ensure the safety of travelers to the provinces for the Lenten break.

Bartolome left the PNP National Headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City around 12 noon and headed towards the Cubao Metro Rail Transit station where he rode one of the trains to inspect security measures being implemented by the management.

Bartolome then alighted at the EDSA MRT station and transferred to the Taft Avenue LRT station where he rode the train until the Pasay station and met with National Capital Region Police Office Director Allan Purisima there.
