P1-M worth of illegal drugs seized in week-long operations in Central Luzon

OLONGAPO CITY–At least P1 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated in the police’s regionwide weeklong operations, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said Tuesday, Jan. 24.

In a report, the PRO3 said 132 people were arrested during a series of anti-narcotics operations in Central Luzon from Jan. 15 to 21.

Data showed that most of the seized contraband was “shabu” or crystal meth.

During the same period, 124 most wanted persons in the region were also arrested during the police’s intensified manhunt operations, the PRO3 said.

Six more were collared for illegal possession of firearms, while 83 others were apprehended for illegal gambling.

Police also recovered P107,468 in bet money during their crackdown on illegal gambling in the same period. INQ
