MANILA, Philippines — The whole country will experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening, but warm weather is expected across Northern Luzon due to a ridge of high pressure area, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Wednesday.
A high pressure area is a weather system opposite of low pressure area.
Meanwhile, state forecasters said moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast to east will prevail over extreme Northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast with slight to moderate seas, it added.
