Capitol to sell lot to Lahug
BARANGAY Lahug is a step closer to its plans of building a commercial center for vendors.
During its regular session last Monday, the Cebu Provincial Board authorized Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia to execute a deed of sale in favor of barangay Lahug.
Officials of barangay Lahug offered to buy a 361-sq. m. province-owned lot at a road corner at the foot of Nivel Hills for a future satellite market.
The province agreed to sell the land for P3,500 per square meter for a total cost of P1,263,500.
The proposed commercial center, a five-story building, is expected to be finished by July this year.
It will accommodate at least 150 vendors.
The lot is part of the province-owned properties long occupied by claimants under Provincial Ordinance 93-1. /UP Intern Jose Santino S. bunachita
