MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. thanked the overseas Filipino workers (OFW) in Switzerland for supporting his 2022 presidential and likewise commended their hard work and dedication.

Marcos is in Switzerland for the World Economic Forum in an effort to attract foreign investors.

Maraming, maraming salamat po,” said Marcos in his address to the Filipino community in Zurich, Switzerland on Friday.

(What happened with the OFWs was in reverse.  The elections came first before the campaign so let me complete the campaign. Don’t forget to vote Marcos and Duterte. Thank you very much.)

Foreign investments

In his speech, a copy of which was  obtained from the Presidential Communications Office, Marcos explained that he also visited Switzerland to introduce himself to the world as the newly elected president.

Mas maganda ngayon sa Pilipinas,” said the president.

(I have to introduce myself and let potential investors know that things have changes, the situation in the Philippines is better now.)

Hail OFWs

He praised OFWs for their hard work, saying that foreign employers have taken note of their dedication.

“Tapos ang tawag sa mga Pilipino, the queen and king of overtime, mga Pinoy. Ang sisipag. Kaya bilib silang lahat.

(Filipinos are known as the kings and queens of  overtime. Very hardworking. Everyone admires you.  So thank you not only for your hard but for boosting our global reputation.)
