MANILA, Philippines — Several roads in Pasig City were closed to vehicular traffic on Friday to give way for the Pagoda Walk, which is held as part of the San Sebastian Feast celebration.
In the traffic advisory of the Pasig Public Information Office released on Friday, the following roads were closed:
- Urbano Velasco Ave.
- M.H. Del Pilar St. (from Palatiw Bilog to Urbano Velasco Ave.)
Along with this, heavy traffic is expected on the following roads:
- N. Cruz St.
- Sandoval Ave.
- Mercedes Ave.
The city government advised motorists to take alternate routes.
The San Sebastian Feast is celebrated to honor St. Sebastian, a patron saint of Pasig City who was martyred in the third century when Christians were persecuted for their faith.
Commemorative Masses, river tours, and Pagoda walks are being held in Pasig City as part of the celebration.— Niña Cuasay, INQUIRER.net trainee
